The most ambitious and astonishing accomplishment in human history occurred forty-one years ago today when the Apollo 11 crew of American astronauts landed on the moon. The first man to step onto the moon’s surface was Neil Armstrong, who announced this remarkable arrival with the simple and iconic words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Regardless of how often one watches the video and sees the photos of this monumental historical event, it still provokes awe.
